2012 Prom

This year the DCHS Prom will tentatively be on Saturday, May 5th, at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.  As with any school function, school rules apply. Your student is expected to be on their best behavior.  Each DCHS student that attends prom is responsible for the behavior of their date if the date is not a student at DCHS.  If the date of a junior or senior is not a student at DCHS an “Out-of-School Date Form” must be filled out and submitted to Ms. Brookshire by April 27th.

Seniors who paid their Prom dues last year are allowed to attend Prom this year free of charge.  There will be a nominal charge of $20.00 for any date that is not a junior or senior at DCHS.

To any junior who plans to attend Prom this year there is a one time Prom due cost of $80 to $135.  This fee covers both your junior and senior Prom.  If you do not attend the Prom as a junior you still owe the Prom dues as a senior to cover the cost of Prom.  Juniors or seniors will be required to pay their Prom dues according to the following schedule.

Each junior or senior is responsible for his or her own ticket even if they are coming as the date of another junior or senior.

Tickets go on sale following the schedule above.  Actual tickets will be given out about a week before Prom.  To receive your tickets for Prom, your Prom dues must be current and you must have on record the person you are taking as a date.

Dinner will be provided for any junior or senior interested in eating with their classmates instead of going to a restaurant.  If you are interested in attending the dinner you must come by Ms. Brookshire’s room to confirm.

Prom 7:30 to 11:30
Sr. walk 10:30
Prom Court and Crowning will immediately follow the senior walk.

SAT/ACT Info

DCHS is now an approved SAT and ACT testing center.

*Students now have to take the ACT or SAT to attend a 2 year college, such as Gainesville, in Fall 2011.

Juniors and Seniors, it is important that you take the SAT and/or the ACT as soon as possible.
