Information and Procedures


The Dawson County School System is, and wishes to remain, a cooperative member of the community. It is in this spirit that the following procedures for use of Dawson County Board of Education facilities are offered. The school system must balance the desire to support all worthwhile community activities with its responsibility to supervise and maintain the school system’s facilities. 


The use of Dawson County Board of Education facilities by community groups must fall within specific guidelines and require approval by authorized school personnel.  The ultimate responsibility for ensuring that use of school facilities by community groups comes within the policies and regulations of the Board of Education rests with the superintendent of schools.


Activities conducted on property of the Board of Education must be compatible with the purposes for which the facility was constructed.
