REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

For the 2023-2024 School Year:


1.  The registration window will open March 1, 2023 and will close on March 14, 2023.

Registration Request Form(link will go live at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, March 1 and it will remain open until 10:00 AM March 14). 

Registration has ended.

If your child has received a spot on the 2023-2024 Pre-K list, please CLICK HERE to register your rising Pre-K student.

2. Pre-K enrollment will be based on a lottery system. The lottery will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Priority will be given to children of Dawson County Schools employees, as well as to students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). A team of central office staff members will randomly draw names for the remaining Pre-K spots. If your child's name is chosen, you will be contacted within 48 hours of the lottery to complete the enrollment process.


 3. If your child receives a spot, you will be required to complete the online enrollment process and set up a registration appointment with the registrar and Pre-K Director to complete this process.
  • Those students who are not selected in the lottery drawing or who register after March 14, 2023 will be placed on the waiting list. 


  • Those students that receive a spot, you will be required to have the following documents to enroll and secure your spot. 

1. Valid Parent/Guardian photo ID. 2. Two Proofs of Dawson County residency * Proof #1- current mortgage information, lease agreement or property deed. * Proof #2- utility bill in your name at your DC address.  We accept water, electricity, internet, or natural gas bills within the last thirty days. * If you live with someone else and cannot provide this information please contact the registrar directly.  

3. Child's birth certificate

4. Child's social security card

5. 3231 Immunization Form (or notarized religious waiver)

6. 3300 Form (Hearing, Vision, Dental and Nutrition, all parts completed)

***ALL 6 documents are REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR CHILD'S SPOT FOR GA PRE-K 2023-2024.

You can upload these documents, as a pdf, during online enrollment, or make an appointment to bring them to the registrar.



Information about our Pre-K Programs:
The Dawson County School's Pre-K Program is a GA Pre-K program,  funded through the Georgia Lottery and the Dawson County School SystemIt was created to prepare eligible 4-year-old children for Kindergarten. Students must be 4 on or before September 1 and be Dawson County residents to be eligible for Dawson County Pre-K during the current school year. GA Pre-K Programs operate under Bright From The Start: The Department of Early Care and Learning and follow their rules and regulations. Class size is restricted, so space is limited in our Pre-K programs. Enrollment is based on a lottery system. For more information, visit Bright from the Start.

2 at Kilough Elementary School
2 at Robinson Elementary School
