A comprehensive fine arts education is available to students in grades
K-12. The following programs are available as part of the regular
instructional day.
Both elementary schools (K-5) provide full-time art and music instruction.
Instruction in band begins in the sixth grade and continues through
grade 12. When students reach the 8th grade, they may participate in
the high school marching band and the concert band.
Chorus/music classes are offered in the middle and high school.
Chorus members perform numerous times throughout the year and attend
Honors Chorus and All-State Chorus upon recommendation.
A comprehensive visual arts program is offered at the high school
including photography, drawing, clay, etc. Visual art is also taught at
the middle school as an exploratory offering.
Dramatic arts programs are offered throughout the district. The Little Tiger Theatre Co. was established in 2018 to give students the opportunity to learn basic acting skills and apply their theatrical knowledge through performance. All elementary school students grades 3-5, the middle school grades 6-7, and junior high grade 8, are able to participate in the Little Tiger Theatre Co. Students at the high school level participate in drama classes and
perform in the One-Act Play competition and other productions throughout
the year.
